Grande Colonial Hotel La Jolla – Hotel Overview

La Jolla is one of my favorite places in California. It’s a beautiful coastal city north of San Diego. It’s my first home away from home – it’s a place I called home for five years while I was a student at UCSD. Revisiting La Jolla Village and exploring brunch restaurants in San Diego this summer gave me all the feels.

My friend and I stayed at the Grande Colonial Hotel for two nights and it was such a comfortable experience throughout.

The Grande Colonial is a luxurious four star boutique hotel located in the charming La Jolla Village, only two blocks from the best of La Jolla: La Jolla Cove, Scripps Ellen Browning Park, Shell Beach, Seal Rock, and the Children’s Pool La Jolla.

The hotel lobby:

It features ocean-view rooms and suites adorned with timeless elegance and sophistication. The soft yellow and deep blue color palette of the hotel seems to represent the sun and ocean – creating a warm yet cool ambiance in each hotel room. The windows open towards a view of the pool below and Pacific Ocean in the distance.
