Pacific Palms Resort – Hotel Overview

Nestled atop a hill only 30 minutes away from Downtown LA is a hidden oasis perfect for a tranquil escape from the hustle of the city. The perfect place to balance work and play, the Pacific Palms Resort doubles as a luxury golf resort and conference center. This spacious hotel has fine banquet rooms to host events for any occasion as well as various onsite activities such as a pool table room and spa center for the ultimate relaxing staycation.

This is my favorite view on the property! I love the reflection of the palm trees and blue sky on the water, and the grassy area that divides the photo.

What To Eat:

  1. The Red Restaurant and Bar is my favorite thing about this hotel because the dishes served by this upscale restaurant are so delightful – with fine steaks, fresh seafood, and pretty cocktails, your dining experience here is nothing short of luxurious. Check out their breakfast, all day, and dinner menus on their website here.

Here’s what I had for brunch from their All Day Dining Menu:

  • Shrimp Cocktail $16
  • Lobster Corn Chowder $15
  • Red Chopped Salad $14
  • Charbroiled Ribeye Steak $52 (with Broccolini, Bordelaise, Sauce, Herb Garlic Potato Batons, Aged Cheese Fondue)
  • Seafood Garden $46 (with Day Boat Scallops, Salmon, Shrimp, Clams, Seasonal Vegetables, Asian Squash Puree, White Wine Fine Herbs Sauce)

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed this feast. The lobster corn chowder was delightful – creamy and flavorful. The charbroiled ribeye steak was perfectly seasoned and tender and the potato batons with fondue was so tasty. The seafood garden presented a variety of delicious and tender seafood – everything was so good! I would come back just to have these three dishes again even if I wasn’t staying at this hotel!
