Updated 11/9/23 – This is probably the most delicious and beautiful brunch spot I’ve seen in the Bay Area! As a San Diegan at heart now after 5 years of living there, I must say the thing I miss most about San Diego besides the beautiful beaches are the brunch places! In my first year living in San Jose I was disappointed with the lack of pretty and aesthetic brunch spots here in the South Bay.

Son & Garden is charming breakfast/brunch restaurant that first opened right before COVID19 hit. They serve New American brunch favorites as well as seasonal themed English afternoon tea in a relaxed patio environment decked out with hanging wisteria.

Check out their menu here.

They currently have three locations in the Bay Area:

Their Menlo Park location is literally right across from the Menlo Park Caltrain station:

Outdoor seating all over their patio – don’t worry, they have outdoor heaters to keep you warm these days!

Here’s what my friend and I ordered on our first visit here:

And of course, this flower wall decor is fantastic! They even have a ring light to help illuminate your outfit!

Let me know if you’ll try this place – and if you’ve tried it, what other dishes do you recommend? I’m definitely going back there with more family and friends before the year ends.
